Community Classes

Native boy in the city
The daily rush

The native boy who didn't want modern culture

The indigenous boy possessed a wide array of interests and was eager to explore his surroundings. Similarly, many of the children in his community harbored diverse interests. Various classes were available for learning, including music, dance, cooking, computer skills, night classes, and more. However, the indigenous boy found none of these classes catered to his preferences. He longed for classes on pet animal care, Indigenous drama and art, rare plant cultivation, outdoor cooking, jewelry-making, and hunting and gathering, but none of these were available in his community. Unfortunately, the teachers at school labeled him as unintelligent, and this mindset was inadvertently passed on to the other children. The indigenous boy faced difficulties in school and within the community, as everyone aspired to embrace modernity and showed no interest in native culture. Despite this, he managed to find books about native culture in the library and spent a significant amount of time reading and learning from them, much to the disapproval of those around him. He was ostracized by society for not conforming to the system, becoming an outsider due to his interests in old traditions. While everyone else sought a comfortable life filled with modern technology, the Indigenous boy cherished his pets and traditional artifacts above all else.
